Our Samaritans fundraiser is live

Our official RELAY 116 123 fundraiser is now live on JustGiving. It gives the miles we are planning a direct way to support Samaritans, alongside the conversations we hope the journey will start.

We both know that life can become heavy, and that asking for help can be difficult. That is part of why we chose Samaritans. Its volunteers listen without judgement and give people space to talk about what they are going through. We want our challenge to contribute to that work.

RELAY will connect our hometowns, Tótkomlós in Hungary and Leeds in the UK. In 2027, we plan to take turns running and supporting across the 1,500-mile challenge. The practical arrangement is also part of the message: neither of us has to carry every mile alone.

Fundraising is not a separate extra that we will think about after the running. It is one way the journey can help someone beyond the two of us. The mental-health and suicide-prevention purpose matters whether somebody follows every update or only comes across the fundraiser once.

Donations made through the official JustGiving page are for Samaritans. They are separate from direct financial support for Login To Our Life, which helps with our travel, creating and sharing. Giving to the charity fundraiser is not paying for our journey.

You do not have to donate to help. Sharing the official fundraiser with a short explanation of why the challenge matters can introduce it to somebody who has not heard of RELAY. Following our updates, encouraging the journey or making time to listen to someone are also meaningful ways to take part.

If you are interested in joining a section of the run, you can register your interest through Join Us. We are still confirming how participant fundraising pages will connect to the campaign, so there is no new setup process to follow yet.

Thank you for being here while this takes shape. The fundraiser is live, the planning continues, and we hope the support grows around the miles as well as through them.
