RELAY 116 123
FUNDRAISING
Every mile should mean something.
We’re taking on RELAY 116 123 to raise money for Samaritans and start conversations about mental health, suicide prevention and asking for help.
THE CAUSE
Why we chose Samaritans
Mental health struggles, suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts have affected our lives and our family.
We know how difficult it can be to ask for help, and how much it matters when somebody is there for you without judgement.
That is why we chose to support Samaritans. Through RELAY, we want to help more people feel able to reach out, while raising money for a charity whose work can make a real difference.
HOW TO DONATE
Donate through JustGiving
Our official fundraiser is hosted on JustGiving. Donations are made there, not through this website.

CHARITY DONATIONS
For Samaritans.
Donations through the fundraiser are for Samaritans, not the costs of running RELAY.
They are separate from money given directly to Login To Our Life, which helps us travel, create and share.
If you need somebody to talk to in the UK or Ireland, you can call 116 123.

WHY WE’RE DOING THIS
For us, this is personal.
This challenge is rooted in our own lived experience. We both know that life can become heavy, and that speaking honestly and letting somebody in can matter more than we realise.
That’s the reason fundraising belongs alongside the running.

Why £116,123?
Our fundraising target carries the message too. £116,123 reflects 116 123, the number at the heart of RELAY and the Samaritans helpline number in the UK and Ireland.
Thank you for supporting our fundraiser for Samaritans.
THE WORK WE’RE SUPPORTING
More than a phone call.
Behind 116 123 is a charity working to support people through difficult moments and help prevent suicide.
Someone to turn to
In the UK and Ireland, anyone struggling to cope can contact Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night, without judgement or pressure.
The people behind 116 123
Thousands of trained volunteers give their time to make that support possible. Donations help Samaritans maintain its services and support its volunteers.
Preventing suicide together
Samaritans also works with communities, raises awareness and campaigns for change, helping make suicide prevention a priority.
CARRY IT WITH US
Joining RELAY? You can carry the fundraising too.
If you join a section, you may want to fundraise for Samaritans alongside us.
We’re still confirming how participant JustGiving pages will connect to RELAY. We’ll share the steps once that process is ready.
For now, register your interest in joining. You do not need to set up a fundraising page yet.
MORE THAN A DONATION
There is more than one way to help.
Not everyone can donate, and not everyone can join the miles. You can still help carry this message.
Donate through JustGiving
Give through the official RELAY JustGiving page to support Samaritans.
Share the fundraiser
Sharing the official JustGiving page helps more people hear why we’re doing this.
Join a RELAY section
Be part of the miles and help carry the message. Register your interest on our Join Us page.
Start a conversation
Talk about mental health, listen without judgement and make room for somebody to say how they really are.
Encourage somebody to ask for help
Remind someone that they do not have to carry everything alone. Reaching out can start with a conversation.
Keeping things clear: Charitable donations to the RELAY fundraiser are separate from support given directly to Login To Our Life, merchandise purchases or commercial sponsorship.
PASS IT ON
The miles are ours. The impact can belong to all of us.
Whether you donate, share the fundraiser or join us for a section, thank you for being part of it.
